Unraveling Your Weakness with God: No More Hiding

We are entering into a season where secret sins and issues covered in the name of public reputation in ministry will be exposed. We can no longer pretend our way through our calling. God wants us to remove our covering and come to His presence vulnerable so He can fix us. In the last few years we have seen unprecedented exposure in the body of Christ, where leaders involved in heinous acts have been unwittingly exposed. God wants us to come uncovered in His presence.
God is interested in your “being” and not your “doing”. Your “doing” can only come from your “being”, and when you lack “being” your “doing” will fall apart. If you are broken, God wants you to see Him. You become what you behold. As such, you cannot pretend your way anymore, you must come vulnerable to His presence. When you come vulnerable to His presence you can unravel your weakness in the safest place in the universe.
With that said, how do we unravel these weaknesses with the Lord?
Cultivate Consistent, Genuine Time in His Presence. Deep-seated strongholds can only be unpacked and removed in the presence of God. Because your struggles are unique to you, the remedy is also unique. During one-on-one time, God will give you specific instructions—perhaps a scripture to declare, a specific prayer point, a person to confide in, or a particular song of worship. What worked for someone else might not work for you because only God knows the exact remedy you need.
Practice Immediate Obedience When the Lord gives you an instruction, follow it. He is not pushy, but He requires obedience before revealing the next step. If you want to get free and stay free, you must walk in alignment with His voice.
Believe in His Desire for Your Freedom Some cycles feel unbearable or incessant, making you feel like you aren't making progress. However, if you have submitted your heart to God, He is working—period. Romans 8:38-39 reminds us that nothing can separate us from His love. A submitted heart is always moving forward; it is only a matter of time before the breakthrough becomes visible..
Unraveling your weaknesses with God is a process, but as you continue to walk with Him, He will turn your greatest vulnerabilities into His greatest strengths.
