When Christ died for us and washed us with His blood, he cleaned us and made us radiant. The word “radiant” in Greek is “endoxos”. It means an inherent beauty or splendor. Inherent means by nature, it was imputed, a gift you didn't have to work to get it.
Jesus had made you radiant

'and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless. '

Ephesians 5:27

Have you ever held a diamond? Have you ever held it just about right in the light to the point that it sparkles? The moment it truly reveals itself as a diamond. If you have, then you know how beautiful that moment is. But that diamond was mined and cleaned up, processed to present its sparkle. When the diamond sparkles, it doesn’t need to do much after processing; sparkling is pretty much its nature. It simply exists as a beauty all on its own. When Christ died for us and washed us with His blood, he did the same thing. He cleansed us and made us radiant. The word “radiant” in the Greek is “endoxos”, and it means the inherent dignity or splendor of a person (Strongs 1741). Inherent meaning by imputing it’s simply what happened. You don’t need to struggle for it, you don’t need to fight for it. It is the Lord’s gift to bring you into splendor and majesty. It is His gift to make you radiant.

Prayer

Lord, help me to always remember that I am a radiant -- honorable, complete and justified -- in you. In Jesus name, Amen.
